Project Details:

The Neyaskweyahk Sundancer makes Ermineskin Cree Nation the first community in Alberta to establish a community-owned solar energy system. Spread over six acres, the one-megawatt system, featuring 3,500 solar panels, generates clean energy that is sold into the provincial grid.

The Neyaskweyahk Sundancer Solar Project, officially began operations on March 24, 2020. Since commissioning, the 0.99 MWac project has delivered approximately 340 MWh of renewable energy to the grid.
