We are very excited to announce that earlier this year SkyFire Energy became the 38th member of the Amicus Solar Cooperative and the first member outside of the US!
Amicus Solar Cooperative was founded in 2011 by a like-minded group of PV installers, integrators, EPCs and developers, who realized that through collaboration they would be able to lower customer acquisition costs, streamline project financing and improve operational efficiencies.
Amicus members are a select group of innovative solar energy companies. Each company consistently exhibits the highest level of quality, integrity and customer care. Members are equal co-owners of the cooperative and participate by purchasing from preferred vendors as well as sharing best practices in operations, sales & marketing, engineering, design, etc. As a result of vertical integration, Amicus members gain increased purchasing power, without sacrificing control over individual business goals.
Here are some of the benefits of becoming a member of Amicus Solar Cooperative:
- Operational efficiency gains from members sharing best practices
- Increased purchasing power with preferred vendors
- Access to large-scale financing partners for residential loans, commercial leases, and PPA’s
- Access to an innovative central credit platform for purchases
- Discounts on a host of normal business expenses, such as credit card processing, freight, fleet gas cards, payroll processing, etc.
- Being a part of a special community of exceptional solar companies
One of the main reasons we decided to join Amicus Solar Cooperative is because they share the same values and are guided by the 7 Cooperative Principles:
- Voluntary and Open Membership
- Democratic Member Control
- Members’ Economic Participation
- Autonomy and Independence
- Education, Training and Information
- Cooperative among Cooperatives
- Concern for Community
Amicus serves as a great avenue for us to offer our customers improved value and service!
