SkyFire was contracted by CP Rail to design and build a 4.2 MWp solar PV system at the Hunter Harrison Campus (CP Headquarters) in Calgary. The system includes a mix of ballasted ground mount, mechanically attached racking (on a former loading dock) and a 1.7 MWp solar carport. The carport is the largest solar carport in Canada.
The solar PV system is connected at five different locations within the CP distribution system, and a custom protection and control system manages interconnection to either the primary or alternate feeder from ENMAX Power.
SkyFire completed the engineering, procurement, and construction of this project in less than six months.
